US manufacturing growth eased in April but expansion remains widespread, the Institute for Supply Management said in a monthly report. The group's PMI, which measures economic activity in manufacturing, was 54.8% in April, cooling off a bit from March's 57.2%. However, 16 of 18 industries reported growth. Boeing said it's making “steady progress” to complete terms of a sale of 80 aircraft to Iran Air, according to Bloomberg. “That remains on track,” Boeing CEO Officer Dennis Muilenburg told reporters following the aircraft maker's annual meeting in Chicago, Bloomberg reported.The sale would be the first US aircraft exports to that country since the reign of the Shah of Iran.
